Smart Talk with Dr. Marty Rowland
Setting standards for official accountability and infrastructure management may sound unexciting, but Dr. Marty Rowland brings these vital topics to life in a Smart Talk discussion with Andrew Mazzone of the Henry George School of Social Science.
Dr. Rowland, a member of the Henry George School’s board, uses his expertise in urban studies and environmental issues to show how America’s fading cities can be made cleaner, greener and more livable. Having a well-run city is a better guide to the health of the economy than the usual dry GDP figures, Dr. Rowland points out. He challenges public officials to provide the services that people demand and to be held accountable for results.
