Course 4: Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and the New Money Landscape

This course presents the basics of blockchain and cryptocurrencies with a high-level view of the underlying technologies. The course illustrates different use cases and discusses why blockchain technology represents a paradigm shift that is disrupting so many industries. It presents the current landscape of cryptocurrencies and addresses issues such as volatility and sustainability. It highlights aspects of money described by different economists, including R. Lietaer, in order to present best practices for the creation, use and governance of cryptocurrencies. This course will enable students to explore the creation of their own cryptocurrency. A side project has designed for that purpose.
