2022 Writing Contest Results

The Henry George School of Social Science was encouraged by the response to our 2022 Writing Contest. The student participants wrote essays that included a topic that was espoused by Henry George and how it applies to the 21st Century.

1st Place: Ashley Lo

Title of Essay: “United States International Trade and the Economy Today”

Ashley discusses how free trade can help fight inflation and promote economic growth and development.

2nd Place: Audrea Chen

Title of Essay: “The Advantages and Drawbacks of Regulating Meta’s Monopoly”

Audrea discusses the benefits and issues that arise with a firm having monopolistic power.
