Biography

Sean is an executive leader in technical management consulting in the global electric power generation and transmission industry, and has advised Boards on multi-billion-dollar energy generation and transmission projects throughout North America; the Mid-East & North Africa; Ukraine; and South America.

Hagen started and lead the Sargent & Lundy’s Renewable Energy management consulting practice to become the largest profit center in the Sargent & Lundy Consulting group. Applying his ability to translate complex technical and cost issues into clear concepts and actions, he started Hagen Global Consulting LLC in 2017, co-founded the 501c3 non-profit Institute of Global Energy Education in 2019, launched Global Energy Education TV in 2023, and co-founded Advanced Energy Bridge, Inc in 2024.

The common mission of all these entities is to inform or demonstrate how to provide an adequate supply of reliable, resilient, affordable, safe, and sustainable energy for all. This supports Hagen’s vision that energy-related policies and business decisions are anchored in core engineering principles so they achieve their expectations.
