Instead of new capital investments and the promised massive job creation, they predict that the tax cuts will most certainly boost the financial economy at the expense of the real economy with more share buybacks, more corporate mergers and acquisitions and worsening income inequality. Dr. Jack Rasmus teaches economics and politics at St. Mary’s College in California. He has authored many books on the US and global economy. Dr. Rasmus also hosts the weekly radio show, Alternative Visions on the Progressive Radio Network and is a frequent guest on the Henry George School’s Smart Talk series.
