WE CHOOSE A WORLD THAT IS FAIR AND JUST
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
“A community composed of very rich and very poor falls an easy prey to whoever can seize power.”
-Henry George – Social Problems (1883)
The mission of our school is based on the ideas and writings of American political economist and social reformer, Henry George. His seminal book, Progress and Poverty, is an all-time best seller in economics. His ideas continue to influence political and economic thought and still resonate and remain relevant nearly a century-and-a-half later. Join us at the Henry George School of Social Science to discover what we can do together.
The Henry George School of Social Science is excited to announce its partnership with the Telosa Community Foundation. Telosa’s aim is to create a new city that prioritizes equity and sustainability.
The galvanizing force behind this compelling project is well known entrepreneur, Marc Lore. After reading “Progress and Poverty” by Henry George, Lore was inspired to construct a forward thinking standard for urban living for today and for future generations. It’s truly Henry George in the 21st century!
