Course 6: The Political Economy of Social Problems

This course will investigate the root cause of social problems and discuss a range of policy measures aimed at addressing them. We will look at the American Economy from the end of World War II to the 2007 financial crisis and explain why mutations in corporate culture and public policies are responsible for the resurgence of social problems.

Instructor: Ibrahima Dramé

Director of Education at the Henry George School of Social Science. Ibrahima holds a PhD in International Environmental Law and currently serves as Director of Education at the Henry George School of Social Science. He has been teaching various courses at the School since 2013.
